Blog #7 - Social and Traditional Media parallels


Above is a link to the CNN twitter! The network was founded 38 Years ago, and originally aired on Cable Television only. Today, it boasts that it airs on Television, has streams websites, and even has a Twitter/Facebook. Integrating its Social Media, the Media company posts links from its website to Twitter and Facebook so its followers can get the same headlines and stories that air on television. To think that a company that is among the Top 5, that joined the game later compared to other Cable Television networks, and now has 41.1 million twitter followers, 31 million likers on Facebook, nearly 40 years later. It is because of integration, of course, that they are able to stay present in a constantly evolving viewership.
